I was a little disappointed with this film. Musicals were never my cup of tea and I think the singing/songs were shoehorned into the story rather than telling the tale. I always thought Sweeney Todd was a real historical character but apparently it has always been a fiction. But You do wonder if these things go on in real life. I was told a story of how meat sellers in Kenyan markets in the 1950′s used to keep a clump of skin/hair on the meat, so that people could identify what king of animal it was and that it was not human. Probably another myth though. Good costumes though.
