Halloween Costumes 2009
There are still lots of old favourite Halloween costumes around in 2009. Amongst the top for me, still has to be Captain Jack Sparrow, Fred and Wilma or, if you have the figure for it Marilyn Monroe. You can buy a costume on line, of if the budget won’t stretch to it, make a costume your self. It’s surprising what you can come up with using Grandpa’s old wide brimmed hat, a pair of wellington boots turned down and some eye liner. Ahoy there!
Dressing up at Halloween is following in a long tradition dating back thousands of years. Our ancestors used to dress up or disguise them selves from the witches and evil spirits that they believed haunted the country during the night of 31st October. These days we do it all for fun.
Scooby doo is popular, and you would certainly be warm inside that costume, not so easy to make yourself though, unless you have a very clever Mom!
By raiding your grandparents attic, you might find something you could use to dress up in. Why not get them involved too, they probably used to dress your mom or dad up when they were young.
No matter what you chose to wear, enjoy yourself and stay safe.
